What Is INSiGHT Thermography?

INSiGHT thermography is a gentle, non-invasive scan that helps us understand how your nervous system is functioning—specifically how well its regulating and adapting.

Your nervous system controls and coordinates everything in your body, including how you respond to stress, heal, and maintain balance. Thermography gives us a way to see how that system is working beneath the surface.

What Does the Thermography Scan Measure?

This scan measures temperature patterns along your spine.

These patterns are closely connected to your nervous system—because the nerves that exit your spine help regulate things like blood flow, organ function, and overall balance in the body.

In a well-regulated system, temperature patterns tend to be balanced and symmetrical.

When theres stress or interference in the nervous system, we may see areas of imbalance or asymmetry along the spine.

Why Temperature Matters

Your body is constantly working to maintain balance.

The nervous system plays a key role in this by regulating circulation and communication throughout the body. When that communication is disrupted, it can show up as subtle temperature differences along the spine.

These changes dont diagnose a condition—but they do give us valuable insight into how well your nervous system is functioning and adapting.

What Were Looking For

With thermography, were assessing patterns—not just single readings.

We look for:

  • Areas of imbalance or asymmetry
  • Signs of stress within the nervous system
  • How consistently your body is regulating from one side to the other
  • Changes over time as your body adapts to care

This helps us understand where your body may be under stress—even before symptoms appear.

How We Use This in Your Care

At Spark Chiropractic Studio, thermography is part of your INSiGHT scan process and helps guide your care in a personalized way.

It allows us to:

  • See how your nervous system is functioning beyond symptoms
  • Identify areas that may need support
  • Track your progress over time
  • Adjust your care plan based on how your body is responding

Many patients find it reassuring to have a clear, visual understanding of whats going on in their body.

What to Expect During the Scan

The scan is quick, comfortable, and completely non-invasive.

A small sensor is gently guided along your spine to measure temperature patterns. Theres no radiation, no discomfort, and its safe for all ages—including babies, children, and during pregnancy.

Why It Matters

When your nervous system is balanced and communicating well, your body is better able to:

  • Adapt to stress
  • Heal and recover
  • Regulate important functions
  • Maintain overall wellbeing

Thermography helps us understand how well your body is doing that—and how we can best support you.

✨ Because when your nervous system is supported, your body can function the way it was designed to. ✨

Dr. Whitney is passionate about helping families feel their best by supporting the nervous system—the foundation of how we heal, adapt, and thrive.

As a second-generation chiropractor, care has always been a part of her life. With both parents in the profession, she received regular chiropractic care from birth—something she attributes to her own health, as well as the wellbeing of her family today.

She completed her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University before going on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in California in 2010. Following graduation, Dr. Whitney spent four years practicing in Australia before returning home to Canada to take over her father’s practice of 41 years.
