What is the first visit like?

Your first visit is all about getting a clear understanding of your health and how we can best support you. It includes a comprehensive consultation, a review of your health history, INSiGHT neurological scans, posture analysis, and a thorough functional examination. For children, we also assess neurodevelopment, including gross and fine motor skills, coordination, and primitive reflexes. For infants, care is tailored even further, with gentle primitive reflex testing and an oral function assessment.

After gathering all of this information, Dr. Whitney takes the time to carefully review your results and determine the best approach for your care. At your follow-up visit, she’ll walk you through everything—so you can feel informed, supported, and confident in your next steps.

Yes—chiropractic care during pregnancy is gentle, safe, and specifically adapted to support your changing body.

At Spark Chiropractic Studio, we use a low-force, neurologically-focused approach that is comfortable and tailored to each stage of pregnancy. Techniques and positioning are always adjusted to ensure both you and your baby are supported.

Dr. Whitney also has advanced post-graduate training in prenatal care, including Webster Technique certification, which focuses on pelvic balance and nervous system function during pregnancy.

Care is always personalized, meeting you where you’re at and helping you feel more at ease as your body adapts.

Absolutely—chiropractic care for babies and children is very gentle and specifically adapted for their growing bodies.

At Spark Chiropractic Studio, we use a low-force, neurologically-focused approach that is safe, comfortable, and tailored to each child’s age, size, and stage of development.

Adjustments for infants and children are incredibly light—often no more pressure than checking the ripeness of a tomato 🍅—and always done with care and intention.

We use a small instrument to deliver gentle, precise adjustments. Most practice members find it comfortable and very relaxing.

This is one of the most common questions—and the honest answer is: we don’t know.

Every person and every family is different, so care is always tailored to your specific needs.

The number and frequency of visits can vary based on factors like:

After your initial consultation and examination, Dr. Whitney will have a much clearer understanding of what your body needs. At your report of findings visit, she’ll walk you through her recommendations—so you can feel informed, supported, and confident in your care plan.

Not at all. While many people associate chiropractic care with back or neck pain, pain is often just a symptom. Chiropractic focuses on supporting proper nervous system function, which influences how the entire body communicates, adapts, and functions.

Many families choose chiropractic care to support overall wellness, stress regulation, movement, and optimal body function—not just pain relief. Most people who come into our clinic understand that chiropractic goes far beyond treating pain; it’s about helping the body function at its best and supporting whole-body health.

No—there’s no obligation to continue care forever.

At Spark Chiropractic Studio, your care is always your choice. Our goal is to support you, educate you, and help you make the best decisions for your health.

After your initial phase of care, many practice members begin to feel and function better. From there, we may recommend a transition into a more supportive, ongoing approach—often called maintenance or wellness care. Many families choose to continue care as a way to protect the investment they’ve made in their health—but that decision is always yours.

Why? Because just like eating well, staying active, or brushing your teeth daily, consistency can help you maintain the progress you’ve made.

Ongoing care may help:

Dr. Whitney Ohlund

Hon.B.Kin, D.C.

Dr. Whitney is passionate about helping families feel their best by supporting the nervous system—the foundation of how we heal, adapt, and thrive.

As a second-generation chiropractor, care has always been a part of her life. With both parents in the profession, she received regular chiropractic care from birth—something she attributes to her own health, as well as the wellbeing of her family today.

She completed her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University before going on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in California in 2010. Following graduation, Dr. Whitney spent four years practicing in Australia before returning home to Canada to take over her father’s practice of 41 years.

Now living in Georgetown with her husband and two daughters, she feels deeply connected to the community she serves and is truly honoured to care for local families across generations.

Her approach to care is gentle, intentional, and rooted in connection. She believes that true health isn’t just about symptom relief—it’s about creating balance in the body so it can function the way it was designed to.

With advanced training in neurologically-focused chiropractic techniques, as well as multiple certifications in prenatal and pediatric care, Dr. Whitney provides care that is safe, effective, and adaptable for all ages—from newborns to parents and beyond.

But more than anything, she’s here to listen.

To understand your story.

To support your goals.

And to help you and your family feel more at ease in your bodies.

"A lifetime of chiropractic care, now shared with your family."
